Ronnie, I have Irish and English roots. Italy defeated BOTH teams in the same week! My father-in-law (who was born in Italy) must be loving it.

    Tonight's opener: LONG ROAD

if the equation No PJ-wining in Euro Cup is solid we should be right into the final then hehehe
sorry for your roots Matt .. too bad you don't have some German too hehe

    the show is tomorrow
  2. I get messed up with the time changes!
  3. Am I the only one who absolutely love Love Boat Captain?

Last days I listended through almost their entire catalogue and altough their work before 2000 is far better than their work after 2000 there still are some great songs.
  4. great song Love Boat Captain indeed .. born during a jam when Eddie met Boom in Hawai .. after that "ready to go to Seattle?" hehe

nice how Eddie "hire" band members .. like for Matt .. "what are you going to do this summer?" hehe
  5. uhm PJ doesn't play in Amsterdam since .. 1996!!
that surprise me a bit because they always go through Netherlands when in Europe
  6. Most of the time in (Goffert Park) Nijmegen and Ahoy (Rotterdam), I guess?

I think they arent big enough here to fill the ArenA (50.000) and the other venues in Amsterdam are pretty small, like Erik said there now is a new venue next from the ArenA and thats where they will play (Ziggo Dome)
  7. last time (2010) they were in Nijmegen (and 2007) .. in 2009 in Rotterdam (Ahoy) where they played 4 times
cool they played 7 gigs in 1992 included that awesome Pinkpop
  8. Ahhh the legendary Pinkpop peformance Voted here as the best peformance op Pinkpop ever

In 2000 they also played Pinkpop if I'm right?

LBC is indeed a great song. They should play it more often - maybe the "topic" puts them off a bit.

Like many/most bands, they're best work came from decade #1 (Oasis is another perfect example). However, both bands recorded some fantastic songs in the 2000's.
  10. What is it about then?

It funny that you that about Oasis because I did the same with Oasis (listening through their discography) But I really didnt like their stuff from in the 2000's except the album Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants and on their last album there a couple of great tracks but the other albums I really didnt like.

I think that after Ten Yield is probably my favorite PJ album by the way great songs on it; Given To Fly, In Hiding, Leatherman, Wishlist, Pilate etc.
