or do you mean the other one you know what is released? hehe

    Both!

To be honest, I'm focussing on two-disc AB "remaster" and two official PJ bootlegs (both T.O. shows).

I really want to see the two movies (U2's and PJ's) as well as wait to see what is on this infamous third AB disc.

  2. I've always said RVM is a great starting point for PJ. I think you will eventually have to consider getting No Code and Yield as well.

Yeah, definitely. It's got relatively cheap now. The sound on the live cd is great, but I personally thought the remastering on Vs. and Vitalogy was disappointing - I listened to Animal, for example, and in my opinion, the original version sounded better

Vs. is a great album, I think it's almost up there with Ten, but Ten just beats it. Vitalogy is great as well, not up to the standards of the other two, in my opinion.

All three are classics but for me:
    1. Vs
    2. Ten
    3. Vitalogy
...the higher position just edges out the lower one in each case.

Yield, for me, is a very close fourth.
  4. making me decide positions for the first 3 albums is like making me choose between Joshua and Achtung .. simply i can't
with a gun to my head i would say Ten .. maybe .. for affection
in any case whatever is the choice it's right!
  5. I see your point.

I can understand wht someone might pick the other two over Vs. Ten is solid all the way through (no unlistenable tracks) and has some great b-sides and outtakes while Vs has one track I don't really like (Blood - it's just too much noise for me) and only a couple of b-sides. Vitalogy has a lot of interesting sounds and, what I thought at the time of its release, awesome cover art/packaging. I also pair the Merkinball EP with Vitalogy giving it that much more weight.

However, I have listened to Vs more than any other PJ album and simply love tracks like Go, Animal, RVM, Dissident, Daughter, Small Town, Glorfied G, Indfference...and even WMA (which got some critisism when Vs was released).
  6. never heard it sung in such this wonderful way ... sorry Roger and David (_O_ )

  7. Eddie was meant, no born, to sing this song!
  8. yeah it seems as if Waters had him in mind to let it sing while writing this song back in 79
  9. Any word on when the PJ20 movie is being released on video or will it be spending some time in theatres?
  10. the movie had a one day screening, aside of very few theaters maybe
the dvd will be released on 25
  11. In response to: im relatively bad at being a pearl jam fan i don't own anything D: Where should i start? LOL ive heard some bootlegs from like 07/08? but i know nothing ;X

PJ are a great live band but I still think you should start with the studio albums/tracks. Any of the first three albums (Ten, Vs, and Vitalogy) are a great place to start. However, they have so many other great tracks so I might suggest a "bad thing" and recommend that you start with their two-disc greatest hits album Rearviewmirror. Lots from the first three albums (their best three) and a bunch more tracks from 1992-2003. If you like this, you'll want to get oh so much more.
