  5. HEY !!! What an amazing trip to Europe !!!..just got home...its like the longest day ever..left this morrning at 11 am London time..its 9pm there..only 4 pm here.....goin out to eat with the wife and kids soon.....
    My flight over was so smooth,i had a couple of glasses of wine,and I was out cold....checked in with Chris and his family in London,at their place..we ate..and took the train to Manchester.....the rain that day was amazing...as was the PJ gig..N2 was a classic gig....

    The Isle of Wight was fantastic....the weather wasnt so bad,my wife said she kept reading how it was a disaster and all....not at all,muddy ?..hell yes..lol....we had VIP tickets/passes..hung backstage at the Sky Garden..that was well worth it...


    I will tell you all about the Manchester gig and IOW tonight..have to unpack,and then pack again.....going to Hershey Park tomorrow with the family for 4 days..Dave Matthews Band is there tomorrow night..cant wait....I think I need a vacation...lol

The Manchester show was amazing...I had a blast..before the show we ate at Britons Protection..the Ales went down smooth and I had a couple of long,great chats with a couple of Brits,and the bartender was so great as well...nothing like an old British Pub,on a cold rainy afternoon....the weather was wild that day..so much rain ..great drinking weather...

    We had great seat on the side f the stage,Mikes side. I have seen this band live many times in the last 20 years..and this night,they were very fired up...you can tell when Mike Jeff and Stone are all head bobbing,jumping around..all serious.Stone moves his head back and forth like a bird..lol....Eddie was like he was out of his mind there...before Animal,he took a big swig from his wine bottle..and he was just going off...really screaming...I loved the opening...

    I thought opening with Go > Animal > Hail Hail was very,very intense,Eddie was drinking from the bottle at the end of Hail Hail..long swigs again.....I saw the people on the floor really going wild..and I was glad I wasnt down there..at 45,my "slamming" days are long over...

    Daughter (WMA).Ed drinking,singing it well..WMA was fantastic..sounded so on..Eddie was doing a zombie dance during the groove..lol..moving his hands around and all..really into it...

    Ed drinking,holding the wine bottle..and going on about "people driving like assholes..and are here to show us what assholes are like"..I was drinking as well,and I was like what the hell is he talking about ??..lol....he mentioned seeing a guy with a needle in his arm once,and saying drugs are no good...they then tore into Deep...Ed really doing the zombie dance at the start..lol....sounded really great..loved it...Mike was pumped at this gig...

    I loved Even Flow>Lukin> NFY......PT..Once and a solid version of Betterman ended the set...didnt like Save You at all in that spot...classics should only be in the last 4/5 slots of the set IMO.

    Loved the encore..Inside Job,Off He Goes,Just Breathe...but Hitchhiker..HOLY SHIT ??!!...I was really shocked..and couldnt believe it...a special night ...no question....RVM ..a classic....great tune,and a great way to close the 1st encore...

    2nd encore was solid..Wasted reprise/Life Wasted is decent..Alive..sounded just amazing..everyone was singing along..Sonic Reducer was a nice surprise..Yellow Led ended it...

    I had a fantastic time.The Brits I met were great...and wouldnt let me buy 1 beer in that city..great crowd of people around me...before,during and after the show...

    Standouts...Go,Animal Hail Hail Lukin/NFY,Daughter,Deep,Present Tense,ONCE,Hitchhiker,RVM and ALIVE !!!!
