It'd be very nice to get Once in Stockholm, but it's not THAT important

And yeah, Elderly Woman doesn't work as opener... They should have turned the Montreal opening trio around... Hail, Hail as opener.

it's not that they have to promote the album 3 years after its release (if they ever did ..) .. they could easily play more often other songs instead like Supersonic, Force of Nature .. The End
same goes for Just Breathe .. which i love

what you mean with "crowd"? casuals? i think they recognize far way more Alive, Better Man and Just Breathe itself rather than The Fixer

"Small Town" is too much of a "campfire singalong" for it to start a show. It works best about half way through the main set.

i would really love if they opened just for once with Lukin ... in transition to Not For You

Well, they play Just Breathe all the time too Yeah, casuals. Last time I checked Alive and Better Man aren't from their latest album.

I think it's a bit of a prestige thing for a band to play songs from their latest album. Even if it's a few years old.

  5. yeah it can be prestigious but there are some other songs in the album that can be played some more time instead of Fixer .. and Just Breathe too yes
  6. But those two songs may be the most recognizable for the casuals.
  7. Or maybe they just love playing it, maybe it's special to them.
  8. Angie was just a couple of bars last night, so I don't think we can count that as a song.
  9. Ah, the old "snippet" debate rears it's ugly head.

Speaking of snippets/tags, I hope they play "It's Okay" at the end of Daughter at least once during this tour.

Have I stated before that I like that tag?
  10. Why the hell do we say "tag" when it's PJ and "snippet" when it's U2?
  11. Snippet/tag..same thing..I just hate that U2Gigs actually count a snippit as a song..example..Happy Birthday...singing 2 lines..that isnt a song being performed.Its a crowd chant/sing along.lol...

I find it hard to believe that U2 played 60 different "actual songs" (not counting snippets like when Bono says one line of All You Need Is Love during Streets) in 2 years..as sad as that sounds..being that DMB and PJ play that amount in a week..or less....I will have to look into that...

Got back from Hershey last night..it was great..DMB were very very good as usual, the gig got cut short by 2 songs,as a wild electrical storm came in before the encore...still loved it...GA in front of the soundboard with my oldest daughter...

I have to say, that setlist from Praha looks amazing..makes me wonder if that is THE gig of the tour so far ? One of the best Euro gigs from 2000 was Praha..06.14.00..if some of you havent listened to that show, please do..the band are on fire, and Eddie makes his infamous quote after Red Mosquito...'The last time we were here,it was really cold out..and now,its as hot as the Devils asshole"...classic...

I have to tell you guys all about the Isle of Wight Festival today....
  12. hard to say if it's the best so far .. as often happen hehe
have you taken a look at Amsterdam N2 Ed? .. it's a hard fight hehe
