Not a huge fan of "Why Go" as an opener - they seem to use it quite frequently there. I think it would have been a good time to open with "Release" - and, of course, close with "Indifference."

Hopefully they'll get "Immortality" in their Missoula set next weekend. It saddens me that that will be it for PJ shows for a long while.
  2. in Europe next years? a bunch of gigs ? just few festivals? nothing?

With Pearl Jam and Stone Sour, which were confirmed for the Download Festival but the next bands are in the rumor mill. In various forums also make the bands Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Biffy Clyro, Paramore, Azealia Banks, Mumford & Sons, David Guetta, Seeed, Nightwish, Slayer, Franz Ferdinand, Paramore, Kraftklub and Of Monsters And Men around.
google translator hehehe .. here the whole thing in german
  3. It's the Friday slot that is the only headlining slot left for Download. Either Pearl Jam or Green Day will be getting it.

Iron Maiden and Rammstein have already been announced as headliners.

I'll go for the day if Pearl Jam are playing.

Also, I don't know if this is a legit rumour but Pearl Jam may be in contention for a headlining slot at T in the Park. It's a possibility, but Green Day, Muse and The Killers are also looking good for it. That depends on T in the Park's schedule next year as it's their 20th anniversary and there are rumours of it extending to 4 days - meaning 4 headliners. I only heard that rumour off a friend though. No idea where he heard it.
  4. Think they should bring out first a new album, before considering touring again.
Else you might get the same shows as this year. But I keep my hopes up for Seattle
  5. Well, they are due to tour the US. Only six shows in total in 2011 and 2012 combined - and no Seattle???????. Admittedly, as much as I have enjoyed following the last two years of (mini) tours, it'd be nice for them to incorporate some new material into their sets - if only to get them to stop playing "Got Some." Sorry, I couldn't resist for the umpteenth time.

  7. Berlin 2 (not the same as Berlin 1 ) is out tomorrow!

    I'll be on it ASAP.

    Just to confirm/check:

Olof is getting (both) Oslo and Stockholm (?) and...
    Ron, are you getting Copenhagen?

No Seattle since Sept 09...PJ are realistically a part time band since 2007.

The writting was on the wall guys, when they barely toured Backspacer, in the fall of 2009, after it was released.Talk about zero promotion.4 gigs on the East Coast that fall ?

Then, even more shocking, after a short tour of Australia (Nov 2009),they folded up the tent, and didnt tour for 6 months. That, was when I said wow,PJ will never do a full scale tour again.

So,the way I look at it,if they barely tour when they release an album, they certainly wont do an "all out" tour when they have nothing to promote.

    Of course,I hope Im wrong.....

Yeah, I'm getting both Stockholm and Oslo. Getting very excited for the release of Stockholm... I want to relive it. Looking back now, I feel Love Reign O'er Me was my favorite moment that night. It just had something very sublime about it. People kind of stopped jumping and mainly just listened... and it was so good. Can't wait to listen to that in pristine audio quality.
  11. I can only imagine (well, I suppose remember) how excited you must be getting, Olof, as the Stockholm release data approaches.

It should be just two week (15 days) to go!
  12. It's funny. The more I listen to Pearl Jam, the harder I find it to pick my favourite songs by the band. As great as, for example, the hit "Even Flow" is I like a less-popular song like, for example, "MFC" or "Present Tense" just as much.

Earlier "Top Ten PJ songs" lists of mine no longer exist.
