  3. Ah, well done, Ron. The celebration of the return of an NHL team to the city. Great version of "Daughter" played at this show, by the way. It ends with BOTH "WMA" and "It's Okay" tags.

    If I recall correctly, during the 2005 Quebec City show, EV makes reference to the loss of the Quebec Nordiques - who have been in Denver (as the Colorado Avalanche) since 1996.

  4. It'd be even worse for the city of Edmonton than when Gretzky left for LA back in 1998.

    Messier would eventually leave Edmonton as well to play for the Rangers at MSG - a favourite stomping ground of PJ.
  5. BIG day fro PJ purchases for me:

    1. Was in Best Buy at lunch and saw "Touring Band 2000" for sale ($13) - grabbed it.

    2. My "PJ 2012" army t-shirt arrived today - while I was at home from work. As a result, my wife did not see it so now she cannot tease me about it (until she's sees me wearing it, of course.)

    3. ...and Norway is available!

    By the way, rumour is that Pearl Jam might be planning a Spanish show for 2013 for their own (no festivals, no charity shows, just a PJ show). I would be delighted if it happens, and pissed if it happens and I'm outside of the country at the moment haha

    They are due to play that part of the continent. They "owe" the fans from Spain, Portugal, and, of course (for Ron's sake), Italy a show or two - each!
