1. Really sorry to hear about all the bad news in NYC. I can't believe there were 37 (!) deaths.

    Very sad.

I know 2 people who died Monday,as they were trapped by water in their basements.

NYC schools closed for the week, this is unprecedented. We might not have power back for another week,as the wires are underground here in Manhattan.2 young boys were ripped from their mothers arms, and they were swept to sea,on Staten Island. They found their bodies today.

Don't know what else to say,but please pray for the victims.

.. and for all involved in this disaster in one way or another, Jersey people, NYorkers, Georgia .. that's for sure.
glad you and your relatives are "fine" in spite of everything Ed

  5. yesterday in Vegas N2 ..
Eddie was talking about Epidermolysis Bullosa (disease that affects children i guess) .. a woman offered 5000$ asking him Black .. Eddie said to wait a while .. Boom got on stage and they played what it seems to have been a wonderful organ/voice Black

  8. Thanks Matt
  9. I got power late last night, early this morning.....I will post on here for some...I dont know....normalcy I guess..the death toll rises.....dont know what else to say....I will spare some of you of the deatils that I have seen the last few days...cant believe how crazy bad this storm was....people,like me,didnt think it would be this bad...yes,I knew it would be bad,but..I mean,a fucking 32 foot wave landed on Manhattan island..its like something from the Day After Tomorrow.... we stayed our ground.....as we do..as New Yorkers...

Staten Island was crushed...and they are still without power..as is all of Atlantic City and all of the New Jersey Shore..its.....gone.......the NYC Marathon was cancelled today....

Its nice to see Bruce and Bon Jovi are doing a gig tonight to raise cash.......

I will check back in guys..thanks for the good words....
  10. I can't believe how big and bad this thing was...really didn't expect it to take such a toll...unfortunate (yet understandable) that they cancelled the NYC marathon. It may have been a good way to boost morale and raise some funds but...
  11. Hey Matt,we were furious here with Mayor Bloomberg for trying to go on with this.He had to back down. They would have had to re-deploy thousands of Police Officers from Lower Manhattan and Staten Island for a race..thats out.....they have more important duties..the traffic lights are still out on Staten Island, there is zero gas here.I mean none....NYPD have had to post Police Officers at gas stations Matt, because of the fights breaking out.Its like a movie Matt....

Im fortunate,me and my family are safe..as are most of my good friends...My good friend lost his brother (51),and his son (20) to Sandy... tomorrow night,Im going to the wake.....and I will be at another wake on Wed for a young man (28) that I know who passed.....unreal.....people are at their wit's end.....more bodies were pulled today from South Beach,Staten Island ....

But I will say this Matt..the people I see on the streets here are strong .....and they inspire me each and every day....
  12. quoting Bon Jovi .. we may have not electricity but we have power..

now it's the moment of doing, the moral will come in time .. hold on tight Ed
