  2. If the sound level is "listenable"...make that "very listenable" I most certainly am interested. (Not to sound like a bootleg snob, but we have been spoiled by PJ so anything less than SB quality is unacceptable).

  4. Ed is still quite chatty with PJ though. He talked quite a bit in Stockholm.
  5. Ed and I have been discussing The Who's Live At Leeds album. I guess PJ used its cover as inspiration for their own bootlegs:

  6. No question..and we know how EV feels about the Who....Live at Leeds has been released in many different versions over the years...The original LP had only 6 songs..

  9. The 2001 Deluxe version,is the complete gig. Some say the sound on the '95 re-issue is better, but of course,it doesnt have Tommy.

If you can believe this, there is also a 40th anniversary super deluxe edition of Live at Leeds. This version includes the complete Hull,England concert from the next evening,02.15.70.Its a 4 cd set.

As of last week, the Hull concert is now available as a seperate purchase. It is the same gig as Live at Leeds, except Magic Bus wasnt played.IMO,the sound on the Hull cd,is better than Leeds.Leeds is the better gig,the band obviously picked it over Hull 40 years ago for that reason. Both gigs are classic WHO,all of Tommy live,Keith Moon at his best,Pete going off,Entwistle jamming, and Daltrey banging out the vocals......Yes,I went out and grabbed it.

Live at Leeds,02.14.70, most have said is the greatest live album ever, and I agree.
  10. Ed if interested ..
Pete Townshend is on the Late Show With David Letterman this evening at 11:35 pm on KCBS
but maybe you already know that hehe
