Prague is very good – certainly up there for me. But Ed, remember Manchester II? Go, Animal & Hail Hail. My legs were dead afterwards but not to mention the crowd were arseholes during those three particular songs because of their high energy.

This is the latest "update" from Mike's Facebook page.......

pity that Stoney apparently said release not before 2014
  3. Ron,as we all know..Mike wants to do PJ full on...as do the others...that's why I attack EV.....they are not on the same page, its painfully obvious....its EVs call...now Matt is back with a band, that actually wants to be a band....I thought this would have scared EV....I'm sure he called Matt a thousand times kissing up to him...

As far as I know..PJ are doing nothing.....I know they are playing 3 festivals next month...that's great for those fans, but IMO,its pointless,I don't care..if they were touring for say...2 months I'd be on board, hell id probly go somewhere again........they need to go in the studio already....record the album....then tour it properly..not 2 weeks....stop...then 8 more gigs....and that's it.....very frustrating......if PJ toured every year,as DMB..and played the same songs etc....i would be fine with it....I would say hey,PJ love touring, and we the fans love it.....but this is not the case.....1 show at Wrigley Field screams of hype, and an inevitable release,no doubt listed as a "must have show"....

I love this band,as I do with U2,DMB,Radiohead and the Chief....when they need to be ripped,I fucking rip them....I have no problem with Yorke going out with Atoms ...as he said Radiohead will be back in the studio by the fall....or was that Colin ? And Radiohead did a full proper run of shows in 2012...and it would have been more,if not for the Toronto disaster.
  4. we "clashed" other times on this point Ed .. and you know i don't blame on Eddie in full but almost everyone
i don't think Matt rejoined Soundgarden just because bored of waiting a call by Eddie .. i mean Soundgarden .. not a spare time band. imagine him calling Cornell and saying Eddie doesn't want to play can we do Soungarden meanwhile?
Brad are not a side project anymore since some years and Stone is deeply in it enjoying it .. and now in a solo album
Jeff is spending years creating new bands ..
don't think at all cause they're sick and tired
yeah Mike can be the only one PJ full on as he's passing time jumping from stage to stage jamming
i'm with you about the gigs every now and then though .. i don't need these at all ... be always clear that the Forum doors are always open hehehe

ps: Yorke would be better to remain with Atoms ... hehe
  5. Well... PJ should just call it a day then. You cant do 2 things at once, and it seems as if thats what Jeff and Stone and Matt are doing.Eddie is just, hanging out it seems.

If I was Matt,Id leave PJ for Soundgarden in a heartbeat. They are by no means a extra spare tire, part time band.At this point in time,Soundgarden are far better then PJ.

As we have said, in the past few months...King Animal destroys anything PJ have done since Yeild..and that was 15 years ago.

    carry on.

Hopefully they don't play "Unemployable" simply because they've realized that it sucks.

Word on the street is that Amsterdam 2 is the best show but for me, it's Berlin 1.

Both "Man 2" and Prague are excellent, however.

Matt Cameron should leave PJ. Soundgarden just released a very well-received album and should try for a second one sooner than later. There's no way PJ will be able to appease their fans if he's in two places at once.

I don't think this means that PJ should break up, however. I'm sure there's a capable drummer out there to take MC's place, be it temporarily or permanently. What about the drummers from the band members' side projects like Brad or RNDM? They must have some connection/vibe that PJ could use, no? I mean, it's only the drummer.
  10. Maybe PJ should explore the possibility of Jack Irons returning ?..or maybe they can borrow Chad Smith from the RHCP ???

Since the band are only playing 4 shows from now, until whenever..they can just hire whomever....
  11. Jack Irons will not return. With the length of shows and the setlist variation that Pearl Jam like to do, Irons would reject purely for that matter. Chad Smith, on the other hand, would be a terrific drummer although it really depends on RHCP's touring schedule, and I'm guessing they will be making a new album soon. He also has his Meatbats band too.

I was going to suggest Dave Grohl until I remembered that he has many projects already and it may be a little weird.

Wouldn't mind a certain Mr Dave A. back behind the helm. Or even Dave Krusen?

Chad Smith is a "classic" but I think the band should try to find someone a little more permanent.

I can see why one might feel, however, that PJ doesn't need a permanent drummer.
