Ed...what did you think of the NYR getting rid of "Gabby?"

Shocked, but then again he was not playing well.I missed the last few games,as I was in Florida.

I took my son to see the Panthers/Sabers game in Florida,03.28.

Miller was off his game,it was a wild one.Panthers won in a shoot out.
  2. I quickly looked at the setlists from the SA gigs.Decent shows.I cant get excited about them...sorry.....but seems like same old.... same old.Im sure the fans there loved the shows though....

Not to be a wet blanket.....but,why are they playing these 3 shows again ?? Didnt they just play in SA at the end of 2011 ?

I see Ole and Got Some are still being played ad nauseam.RVM ending the main sets as usual.

    Got Some just wont..........................go........................away.

I really hope the 2 (only) summer shows bring something more to the table.Chris wanted to do Wrigley, but we are all going to my house in Boca for the summer.Just so happens DMB will be in WPB 07.19 and 20..same date as Chi-town..or he would have insisted we go......
  3. Listening to the MTV gig from 03.16.92.........Black was so amazing that night.

I also listened to the Gorge show from 09.01.05 last night.......just a fantastic show. The opening acoustic set must have been amazing to see.

...and here I am complaining about a 2.5-hour drive to London, ON.

If I could only find some decently-priced tickets. Personally, I might consider buying a ticket for over $300 but I am sure that I won't be able to convince someone else to do the same.
  5. I've said it before...

It'd be nice for songs like "Immortality," "In My Tree," and "Indifference" (that's three songs that begin with the letter "I") to make their way into these festival shows. The PJ standards/war horses are great but they could do a better job when choosing the rotated songs. I like songs like "Insignificance" (another "I" tune) and "Save You" but the first three I mentioned are WAY better choices to fill in the gaps.
  6. Drop Got Some (they wont),and play In My Tree more....and Ole should never see the light of day again....
  7. I'm quite a fan of Ole, actually.

I agree, though. Play In My Tree and while they're at it, play Whipping.
  8. Poor "Whipping"...it barely gets played anymore.
  9. I love the studio version of 'Whipping'. The drums are so heavy and it sounds so bad-ass.
  10. Admittedly, I haven't listened to the studio version in ages - literally years! Live versions, a completely different story.

As great as a song "Whipping" is, however, I would probably rank it only at #8 on Vitalogy. Shows what a solid album it is, I suppose.
  11. For me:

    Spin the Black Circle
    Not For You
    Immortality
    Whipping
    Last Exit
    Better Man
    Corduroy
    Nothingman
    Tremor Christ
    Satan's Bed
-and the rest can fend for themselves-

    Vitalogy is a sublime album.
