1. I've got an unfortunate feeling
    I've been beating down
    I feel I don't believe
And now the truth is coming out
What they've taken is more than a vow
    They've taken your innocence
And then they throw them on a burning pile

    I want to say yeah
    Mind your manners

    I caught myself believin'
    That I needed God
And if it's hard to some
We sure could use it now

    Tried my patience
    My patience tried
This world's no longer good enough
    That makes me wanna cry

    all i'm saying
    Mind your manners
    that's all i'm saying

    Self-realizing that im physically redeeming
    I'd live another life
    No, i'll solve my mystery
    Right now, around the corner
We could be bigger than ourselves
    <???> to the sky
Or we could be something else

    And all i'm saying
    Mind you manners
    Always ready

    Self-realizing that im physically redeeming
    I'd live another life
    No, i'll solve my mystery
    Right now, around the corner
We could be bigger than ourselves
    <???> to the sky
Or we could be something else

    Go to Heaven
    That's right
    How do you like it
    Live in Hell

    could it be?
  2. Its not bad.
Bit too fast and rough for me though.
    Maybe im just getting old

  3. I can appreciate what you are saying.

I am hoping they include some songs a la Binaural on this album. Songs like "Of the Girl," "Nothing as it Seems," and "Parting Ways" are absolute gems and the creation of that type of music should not be forgotten by then band.
  4. Great job with the lyrics...lets be realistic, all twelve songs aren't gonna sound like this. They'll be a couple quieter ones and some mid-tempo stuff on the album as always. After a 4 year absence I think it's a perfect lead single to tell everyone they're back. It gets better with every listen.
  5. In terms of the quiet ones, I'm sort of hoping there aren't too many "pretty" ones like "Thumbing My Way" or "Just Breathe." I'd rather something along the lines of "All or None" or "Around the Bend."
  6. It seems that I've fell out of the (small) Pearl Jam loop I seemed to be into before going out for a week, and I don't have a clue what you're all talking about... , So I'll just throw a stupid thought out there:

Eddie Vedder has always looked totally like Jeffrey Lebowski to me. And, according to Google, I'm not the only one who thinks that.

  7. This is what we're talking about.
  8. Ah, ok! Thanks Kieran!

    Don't like it
  9. Oh, by the way. This past week I've spent in Italy I have listened to a lot of radio (our rented car didn't have audio inputs and I didn't carry any CDs), and Pearl Jam has popped out more than a few times. Our friend Ronnie will probably know the radio station called Virgin Radio... They've played Even Flow, RVM, Black, Breathe and my beloved Better Man (with a beautiful introduction by the radio commenter, who translated the whole lyrics to italian and explained the song, including the "to the bastard that married my mum" sentence) at least once, some of them twice or more. I think PJ has been the most played band in our car after Muse (which actually owns Nr1 of the italian charts with Panic Station) and Depeche Mode. Some U2 and Coldplay too. Great radio station!!

Advice: if anyone ever has to drive through Italy and don't have their own music, tune in to Virgin Radio
