1. That is a GREAT video. I definitely don't like the song, but man, they still rock big time.

Also, what's that "WWS" that was crossed out in the setlist?
  2. World Wide Suicide
  3. Thanks! I don't know the song I understand the feelings towards Rocking In The Free World, but I remember similar things being said regarding Yellow Ledbetter too... Are they the only "regular" closers they've had through the years?
  4. Well, they have definitely played RITFW a lot, but there's a reason why: With the lights on it turns the arena into a house party. It makes for a great time for the crowd. May get old for the diehards, but I'm sure most of the crowd loves it. It was great in Stockholm.
  5. Rocking is quite obvious in Canada, especially in Ontario .. uncle Neil matter you know
they're the most used as closers yes .. Indifference far way less but still a "regular" lets say
there are many however .. I've Got a Feeling from the early days .. Porch .. Fuckin Up .. Baba O'Riley .. Alive too
and others for a bunch of dates
  6. wow MYM looks like it kills live. Great set list overall. Parachutes-Man of the hour would of been my piss break...Have they ever opened with Present Tense? And Nothingman number 2? Wow

Youre quick! Thanks! First time in 8 years..
  9. Having "Present Tense" open the show was quite a (pleasant) surprise - it works very well to start off. The crowd (including me) ate up the next two, "Nothingman" (another early surprise) and "Small Town."

I was thrilled when they burst into "Corduroy" (I could feel it coming after the obligatory "London Calling") snippet. The crowd was indeed thrown off when EV slowed things down around the "everything has chains" part.

I admit it took me a moment to figure out what they were playing when "MYM" was played - I obviously haven't listened to it enough. I thought they'd play more new stuff, but no. Hate to say it but "Got Some" was a spot wasted in the setlist. The majority of the crowd was not into it - lots of quick piss breaks here. The band redeemed themselves with an excellent performance of "Given to Fly."

"Sad" and "Alone" were for the die hards. I sort of am one but seeing that this was just my third show, I probably didn't appreciate them as much as I would have if this was, say, my 13th show. I still have yet to hear classics like "Immortality," "Release," and "Go" and would like to hear them at some point - soon. Maybe Buffalo????

They made a good decision getting the casual fans back into it by playing "Even Flow" after those two lost dogs. The crowd as a whole went nuts.

    More to come...
