1. if nobody wants to pick Seattle that's the big one sure .. Spokane, Portland San Diego are huge temptations too hehe
i will surely one with the code but who knows .. even though The Clash immense boxset, In Utero boxset and vault #3 are still waiting for me ...

  2. I'll get the Gold Coast (cause I'll be at this one) and Melbourne (cause they have epic shows in Melbourne) for you guys when the time comes
  3. NME is a joke of a mag. All they report on is Liam and Noel insulting each other for the past decade and a half.

Like anyone gives a shit what Liam thinks at this point in time, and OMG Liam was "drunk in the pub again and riding the pubs dog".
  4. It happened again: I overheard this acoustic mix my wife was listening to (at realtively low volume) on "VEVO" and there was a rather mellow version of "Off He Goes" playing. I thought, "Cool someone is covering Pearl Jam."

It was the version directly off of No Code which I, obviously, haven't listened to over a decade.

To be honest, it's way too mellow for my liking - the live versions have so much more (pent up) energy.

I know longer give any credit to magazines' reviews of albums by classic bands like U2 and Pearl Jam. One way or another, I feel they have an agenda, whether it to overrate an album (Q's immediate five-star rating of NLOTH) or underrate one in this particular case.
  6. One sentence from a glowing review by popmatters.com

“Yellow Moon” is *the record’s weakest track, a forgettable number that’s exclusion would have made the album stronger as a whole

It's amazing how different everyone's opinions are sometimes.
  7. One prediction I can make with a near-100% certainty for the next two shows in Boston: Updates from the Red Sox vs. Tigers games in Detroit.

My Father's Son is the weakest track.

But that, of course, is just my opinion.

  9. Funny. Sleeping by myself is weakest for me. I actually enjoy MFS especially when listening to the album in full. I enjoy the bridge the most and eddies vocal delivery.

Correction: EV will NOT be giving score updates tomorrow night as the BoSox and Tigers will be playing in the afternoon. I'm sure he'll mention the game, however - especially if Boston wins!
