Huh, my fault. Your "like coming onto U2start not knowing much about U2" comment mislead me into thinking you were a PJ newbieSorry. Then you're perfectly allowed to hate Sirens. I hate Get On Your Boots and nobody bashes me

Funnily enough after I posted that line I felt iffy about it and how it could be misinterpreted. What I meant was, I know just as much about Pearl Jam as someone who likes U2 coming here would know. Meaning, I've heard their "greatest hits" numerous times, like them, don't really own any of their albums apart from Ten and VS, and don't really know much about the band other than what they say on the PJ20 movie.
Let's be real here, an average U2 fan coming here compared to what we superfans know about U2 is a pretty similar comparison, maybe even more greatly differentiated.

Oh, yeah, of course. I get you now. The vast knowledge about PJ that EDDMB, Rummy and others gather here can only be compared to those at the Bruce Springsteen topic... And to us U2 geeks of courseI find it hard to be a super-geek of more than one or two bands at a time though (in my case they are U2 and Muse).

2. Ron's name should always be added to the "vast knowledge" list - for the most part, it was him and Ed that have got me where I am today. It really has taken attending two shows this year for me to feel like I can remove my self proclaimed "poser" status. I had the opportunity to attend so many shows over the past dozen years but foolishly passes on most of them. Most of my knowledge has now come from a lot of hard "work" and research.
