    Sirens is a tough one. I hated it a first - I honestly felt, musically anyway, the band had really dropped the ball - but began to appreciate the lyrics and the chorus.

    Nowadays (less than a whopping month since I first heard it) I can take it or leave it. I can appreciate its appeal but I also understand why it wouldn't do it for someone.

    I like your comparison to "Boots," Sergio. That's another song I had to almost of force myself to like - something that I tend to do from time to time with bands I have listened to for a long time.

    It doesn't really work for me all that often - at least I the long run.

    I know I could easily get $300 for it but to me its priceless. I absolutely love it and it always reminds me of that unbelievable night.
  11. I have a plaqued (or is ti placked?) 1998 Australia/NZ Tour poster hanging in my garage - braving the elements, to some extent.

    I wonder what I'd get for it?

    (I have no plans to sell it, mind you).
  12. Listened to East Troy '03 again today....really love this gig..the main set isn't the best ..but the band are just on this evening IMO...

    Sometimes > Corduroy is always a blast out of the gate..Faithful, Immortality Deep and a rocking version of You Are are the highs in the main set, until an epic run of Better Man Jeremy Even Flow and Daughter end disc 1...Daughter is short (only 4 min!!!), but solid.

    Disc 2 kicks off with RVM, Go, Animal, Small Town and Glorified G....Better Man > Glrofied G is just an insane run....Go > Animal is fucking off the charts, I would have freaked......Bushleaguer (sans comments from EV) is entertaining but kills the run, Evolution picks it back up...Riot Act is my least favorite release by PJ, and disc 2 features only the one tune I mentioned..so I like that......

    I havent listened to these shows in years...the band really sound great ..Breath > Crazy Mary is awesome . Breath is of course the rare gem pulled out for this show and this version is really nailed....my big complaint with this show is all the covers....6 ??? thats ridiculous IMO.. Beatles cover is great of course. I could do without Miracles, Know Your Rights > Fortunate Son..EV must have forgot Alive, as its a no show this evening, and would have been welcomed over those 3 covers..

    I of course could do without his rambling 5 + min speech before Hide Away..holly shit wtf is he talking about ?? here is a bit of it... “Power to the people man…. The real people, the people that work, not the people that sit in their towers, and try to run the whole thing, thinking that we’re too stupid to notice what they’re doing!
