    I've heard RM messed up at least 2-3 different nights. I think he needs a confidence monitor. He can still screw up randomly just to make it unique. But overall I think these are great setlists with not so great performances.

    When you're there the shows are unbelievable. Try to remember that not many artists are under the microscope with every live show like PJ is. They put all their mistakes out by releasing every show with no cover ups or editing.
  3. I posted that video to get some laughs and bring this topic back to life but it ended up being evidence that when you're there, nobody gives a shit when he messes up. He comes on stage Nd mangles the mood setting opening song and the crowd got soo loud !

    Of course you are right...concerts are for attending and enjoying them while you are there...the bootlegs are indeed a bonus. I honestly didn't think there was a single issue with the Buffalo performance while I was there.

    For this reason, I don't care if U2 plays essentially the same set every night because I'll only see it for myself once, anyway.

    What's great about PJ can also be frustrating...you end up whining about what you DIDN'T get!

    My remarks are totally based on years of bootlegs i have. Just seems that the new songs are a little more complicated and maybe that took away from the one they have done so long. Plus as you get older you do forget and maybe get a little sloppy and have a little bit tuffer time with concentration. I know as a musician i have to prepare a lot more in my early 40's then when i was in my 30's. Your mind plays tricks on you.
    And going to shows you never hear the little mistakes like you do listening back with a perfect mix.
    I remember going to Atlanta March 2001 Elevation Tour thinking they nailed it. (which they did) only to hear bootleg Sb recording years later and thinking, wow they hit some bad notes and Bono mumbled some lyrics. All good
  8. I appreciate both "arguments" here.

    When you are at a show (U2, PJ, etc.) it's pretty much awesome no matter what they play. PJ does indeed take a risk by putting it all out there - and I am glad they do it.

    When I compare the LB tour performances (so far) to say the 2006 ones (no need to try to comparisons to show from 15 or 20 years ago), they are a bit messier (not the former NHLer).

  9. Yeah im comparing the last 13 years since they started releasing stuff. I guess Im just waiting for the go to night on this tour and I having heard it yet, but I have to many to listen to thanks to you guys..lol
    Im hoping UVA and Char. r going to be as good as Ive heard.

  12. I think it's just the way the festival runs. Pearl Jam headlined stadiums during Backspacer Tour. They are huge in all places, just bigger in North America.
