My remarks are totally based on years of bootlegs i have. Just seems that the new songs are a little more complicated and maybe that took away from the one they have done so long. Plus as you get older you do forget and maybe get a little sloppy and have a little bit tuffer time with concentration. I know as a musician i have to prepare a lot more in my early 40's then when i was in my 30's. Your mind plays tricks on you.
And going to shows you never hear the little mistakes like you do listening back with a perfect mix.
I remember going to Atlanta March 2001 Elevation Tour thinking they nailed it. (which they did) only to hear bootleg Sb recording years later and thinking, wow they hit some bad notes and Bono mumbled some lyrics. All good
  3. I appreciate both "arguments" here.

When you are at a show (U2, PJ, etc.) it's pretty much awesome no matter what they play. PJ does indeed take a risk by putting it all out there - and I am glad they do it.

When I compare the LB tour performances (so far) to say the 2006 ones (no need to try to comparisons to show from 15 or 20 years ago), they are a bit messier (not the former NHLer).

    Fromage.
  4. Yeah im comparing the last 13 years since they started releasing stuff. I guess Im just waiting for the go to night on this tour and I having heard it yet, but I have to many to listen to thanks to you guys..lol
Im hoping UVA and Char. r going to be as good as Ive heard.
  5. From the article Dylan posed:

However, with the unexpected cancellation of Blur – who were booked to begin their one-hour-and-20-minute set as Pearl Jam ended their performance – the festival’s planned timetable has been re-written.

Really? Blur was to go after Pearl Jam. Really?

I guess they never really had the impact here in North America that they did across the rest of the world.
  6. I think it's just the way the festival runs. Pearl Jam headlined stadiums during Backspacer Tour. They are huge in all places, just bigger in North America.
  7. Weird 10c hasn't released new boots today. The site Nugs has three new ones including New Orleans.

  8. I noticed that...I wonder if this is the way things are being done for the new year or if they'll eventually end up in the 10c shop?

I don't know why Blur were scheduled to be after PJ either. I prefer the way it has panned out anyway, I don't like much of Blur. I only wanted to see Song 2. And PJ getting three hours is beautiful. I didn't even think Blur were that big over here, maybe it was cause they'd go from 10/11 onwards for people if they wanted to stay.. But PJ were definitely the main act when announced
