Really? Blur was to go after Pearl Jam. Really?

I guess they never really had the impact here in North America that they did across the rest of the world.

I don't know why Blur were scheduled to be after PJ either. I prefer the way it has panned out anyway, I don't like much of Blur. I only wanted to see Song 2. And PJ getting three hours is beautiful. I didn't even think Blur were that big over here, maybe it was cause they'd go from 10/11 onwards for people if they wanted to stay.. But PJ were definitely the main act when announced
  2. Ten club getting refurbishment, cool
  3. On a positive note, I was complaining about some of the earlier performances of the first leg of the LB tour. The first batch of shows (ones in classic PJ locations like Boston, NYC, and Philly!) seemed to be riddled with mistakes. Maybe I was being too harsh. Maybe. In any evetn, the shows that follow (Hartford, Baltimore, Charlottesville, and Charlotte) are all phenomenal. Very tight performances.
  4. My favorites boots are Pitt, both Bklyn, Phlily 1, Hartford and Charlottesville. I'm not feeling Baltimore and Charlotte Matt.... Philly 2 was better in person.. Boston was way better on paper... Haven't listened to New Orleans yet.

The thing is, for me , Pitt sounds like one of the tightest shows..and it was N1 of the tour....as usual Hartford is a classic for this band...2010 and 2008 were great gigs...especially 2008....the shows are always better in person, then when you analyze the performance from a tape.

I still say Brooklyn was much better then Philly and Boston
  6. Brooklyn was much better than PH and Boston but I still love PH n1 boot.
  7. I can't believe we are only halfway (well, 13 out of 25) of these 2013 bootleg! The Euro 2012 tour consisted of only 13 altogether.

Still lots more listening to be done!
  8. I picked up some nice speakers for my iMac today. Bose companion 5...woa..they sound great......I listen to so many shows on my comp, I had to upgrade...I blasted Brooklyn 1..and the Sirens from Pitt........then, had the sudden urge to listen to U2... live from Boston 2001...

I havent listened to this gig in ages..I love it..especially from Stay on...look at this run.

    Stay
    Bad >
    Streets
    WOWY
    THE FLY !
    Wake Up Dead Man
    Walk On...

I love these versions...how about Bono's spoken words to start Streets ??..to this day I get chills from this version....the Fly is insane from this show....

only regret is they didn't film the shows from MSG...unfortunate, as they were (as usual) superior to the Boston run of shows... same thing happened in 2005... IMO,they should have waited for the fall tour in '01 and '05...the Oct shows from MSG both years were amazing.
  9. The Fly is absolutely outstanding from that show - my favourite version of them all. And who in their right mind doesn't love the Bad/40/Streets performance?

We were thinking of getting some Bose one of these days, too.

I have nothing to say about PJ right now - I guess I could mention that I have yet to get the chance to listen to the NOLA show. Tonight, I will!
  10. Matt these speakers sound insanely good...Im listening to Footsteps from Bklyn 2 right now...sound is perfect.

Bose products (IMO) are without question worth the money.
