  1. I remember Vitalogy being one of the albums that started the "return of vinyl" movement back in 1994 (20 years ago!!!!) - and not just because it included "Spin The Black Circle."

  2. 180gm remaster, unfortunately. Still sounds terrific, but I'll fork out for the original in the distant future.

    Yes, because the vinyl version was released two weeks prior to the 'proper' release (CD and cassette). Sold 39,000 copies in its first week on vinyl - impressive.

    End of this year will be its 20th anniversary. Sure will write a feature dedicated to one of my favourite albums.

  4. Not that unfortunate imo. Unless it's a bad remaster (aka competing in the loudness war), there's nothing wrong with it Besides the romanticism of having the originals, of course.

    I've always felt that Vitalogy has never required a remaster, always sounded good. Somehow, this sounds even better.

    No Code definitely needs a remaster, very awful production on that album.

    Nothing sounds better on a turntable than that song – for more reasons than one: it sounds epic (no pun intended in relation to their record label at the time), and it is a song based on records and has significant symbolism.
