1. Admittedly, I listened to LA2 just once yesterday and didn't recall any significant issues aside from the initial rough start to Oceans. I'll have to listen to it again - obviously.

Oakland had many problems, the biggest being the previously-mentioned performance of "Faithfull" - it was awful. They also messed up "MFC" big time. It wasn't a good evening for Yield songs as I think there might have been mistakes with "Given To Fly" and/or "Do The Evolution."

I have to say listening to "After Hours" once was fine but I am now sick of it and skip it. Also, the X song, "The New World," does nothing for me.
  2. Also, if something is needed to give praise to LA2, it's gotta be the inclusion of "No Way" in the set, which hadn't been played since the PJ20 weekend in Sept. 2011.
  3. In fact, one can't deny the glory of each of the first eight shows in Leg 2 playing some sort of great-but-rare, new-to-the-tour songs:

    Dallas: Can't Keep
    OKC: Parting Ways
    Phoenix: Around The Bend
    SD: Tremor Chirst/Light Years
    LA1: Garden/All or None
    LA2: No Way
    Oakland: Thin Air
Portland: Deep (plus All Those Yesterday which was already played once in Leg 1)
  4. All the rarities sound amazing on leg 2. LA2 is a show I just didn't feel. It's probably just me. These boots a every objective. I didn't enjoy the set nearly as much as others. And LA1 was so great it paled in comparison.
  5. These guys can come back to Australia and do some (headline, non festival) shows any time they want. I miss them
  6. The Pearl Jam "DT's" are tough. Nick and I (and maybe even Ed) went through them last year.

It's tough but gets a bit better after a few months. I'm not sure if listening to the bootlegs makes it better or worse, however.
  7. I gotta be honest, I'm still going through it. I'm dying fir then to Come Back
  8. Maybe the fall? Maybe.

Nick, why don't you treat yourself (and your fiance, of course) to a trip to Europe this summer and see a show or two? I don't want to seem like one of those guys who have kids (and I don't know your financial situation) but if you can swing it, GO before other commitments tie you down!
  9. I doubt a fall US tour , I thought maybe a spring tour , since they have a new album and all........

Chris has been begging me to come to England again , he has his usual passes for the Leeds and Milton Keyes gigs.......July 4th in England ? That would most certainly be different ....decisions decisions......

My kids finish school here in Florida on June 5th..so anything is possible....we are heading north that day for over a month to NYC.... returning back to Florida until the middle of July for 3 DMB gigs of course !!!.....then back to NYC for the remainder of the summer....

....there are quite a few BA flights out of Newark to London in early July..the wife surprisingly said "fine, as long as we all go of course..."...hmmmmm...

Key word is Fiancé. Which means a wedding... Which means cutting back a little at the moment ! Lol. It was discussed but ultimately its not a great time. And after all i did see them 3 times last fall. I'm willing to go anywhere in the US this fall (besides Hawaii).

I think there will be a US tour. I don't think MC blew off Soundgarden fir 2 months of touring with PJ. I just doth know where. South and Midwest weren't really touched last time around. But who knows !
  12. I agree Nick , maybe Matt just wants some time off ? PJ don't exactly tour like DMB..

They blew off Florida and all of the midwest last fall..so we will see...
