  1. This band is so technically great but they just don't know how to start the song Last Kiss! Lol. It's usually a sloppy start. If they would play Lukin at studio tempo it would sound much better. It's way too fast. Who cares I guess its only a minute long
  2. I think you're right about Last Kiss - it's the start that's usually the worst. Since it doesn't help that I don't really like the song in general, I usually tune out right away and never give the performance a chance!

    A nice little bit of psychology/behavioural analysis there!

  5. When they start Last Kiss..Im like ok good..and I run to the head .lol...Nick you probably saw me run like 6 times at the Brooklyn show, and that wasn't necessarily cause of the tunes..lol

    And I like the slow tunes...but still Lukin is best fast...IMO of course.
  7. Don't get me wrong...fast Lukin is best - but when its played well. Arguably the best version of this tune (that I've heard, anyway) is the Lukin/NFY combo from Chicago 2000. I think you recommended that one to me some time ago, Ed.
  8. Lukin from Portland isn't that bad - once they get over the botched intro. Because of this misstep, we get to hear the "P-Town" speech - and about EV's appreciation for the show Portlandia. I've never watched it. Have any of you? I've heard good things (besides what Eddie Vedder said).
  9. Yes Chicago 2000 is a classic.....best NA gig with Boise and a few others.

    I still say the Det East Troy Chi run, then into St Louis, might be the best 3-4 show run ever for this band.


    Those boots need to be remastered.
  10. That would be pretty wild (and expensive) if they started remastering these things. I'd be happy with a two-disc "touring band-esque" release from all their major tours.

    There a rumours (mind you, they are just rumours) circulating that they'll using all that video footage from their shows for a DVD/Blu-ray compilation.

  12. Animal from Portland.... Should definitely make the compilation. Leave it paired with Deep which is also very much a keeper.
