  2. U2 just blew me away while I was was watching the Irving Plaza DVD. I got such a rouse of happiness from the solo/outro that I completely failed with singing the outro and then moved on to fail with drinking water. AMAZING!! Just felt happiness everywhere in my body

    U2
  3. I think the Elevation version from Irving is one of the best
  4. okay, I have something to tell on this topic. A few of you had to bear with my "I don't feel like listening to U2 anymore lately" babble on the U2 thoughts topic yesterday.

    forget it

well...... last night came.... and I lay awake in my bed as so often lately, and I tossed and turned... and around 4am it came to my mind that at Morumbi stadium the boys were just playing their gig.... so I took my mobile and went online and read my way backwards through the Brazil topic here.... until I saw everyone's screams about Zooropa..... they had really played it..... and here you go..... in all honesty, I never ever liked this song at all, and I always skipped it when playing the album..... really, I had a tendency to really dislike it, shoot me...... but then, last night, I thought "if everyone goes crazy about this, give the song another listen, been years since the last time" -- so I took my ipod...... put in the earphones..... lay there in the darkness of the night in my bed..... and the song began..... and it built up.... and I didn't even remember it builds up like this..... and here it goes...... Zooropa took me on a journey..... a musical journey....... like only a U2 song can do when you a) discover it for the very first time, or b) re-discover it after a long long time. For me it was truly a first time discovery, and it had me...... blown away.

Therefor........ last time U2 blew me away? last night, in my bed, because they played Zooropa far far away around the globe and made me discover the beauty that is this song. The final lyrics "dream out loud" said it all. Pure love. Thank you, U2, for being right there when I needed you most. Once again.

    That's all for now
  5. Here we go again

The last time U2 blew me away was when the played Zooropa in Brasil So amazing
  6. You REALLY disliked Zooropa???????? It's a masterpiece in my opinion. Lirically, musically, everything-ly... It's just so weird and amazing that I can't barely spend a day without listening to it - and I really mean that, it's not a hype-up because of the concert or whatever. It's really one of my all time favs, and that's why the last time U2 blew me away has been this morning when I woke up and my Firefox startpages (U2gigs and U2start) have told me last night's setlist.

I have to agree with you. It was the end of 2009 when I first heard the song Zooropa, at first I thougt that this had to be another band because it didnt sound like the U2 I knew back than. I only knew songs like Bad, Pride, SBS ect. But when I first heard Zooropa I discoverd a completly other band, it just sounds so ''not-U2''. Since that day I have to say its just one of my favourite U2 songs and I never ever skip it when it shuffles up on my Ipod or Itunes.
And now they played it again, what can I say I just hope they will keep it in the setlist and make it even better.
  8. I'm serious, I really never liked it at all. I can't even say why. I just sat down here at the pc and started my itunes to play the song again, and the statistics say Zooropa was only played 1 time ever so you see it never worked for me until now.
But never say never when it comes to a U2 song...
  9. Zooropa Sao Paulo 2.
