I'd consider YBR closer to Pop then ZooTV. That low down range where he could practicaly sing at talking volume wasn't demonstrated a lot through Achtung/ZooTV/Zooropa. That's not to say he couldn't do it but he just didn't.

His voice on Velvet Dress could melt butter and drop knickers.

I consider the Passengers side project the last Zoo TV era recordings.

The low range was demonstrated throughout the Zoo TV era. By Velvet Dress, I don't think you can call it singing at talking volume in those parts of the song.
  3. I can
  4. Singing consists just in making musical sounds with your voice. Since Bono was using his voice, along to a musical piece, you can call it singing.

Anyway, this is absolutely out of place and pretty useless. It all started because I said "Wow, one sone each era if you could HMTMKMKM as Pop era", and that's all. If you want to consider it from the Zoo era, it's alright. If you prefer doing it my way, alright too.
  5. wow even better tahn the real thing is really groovy
  6. In different sites I read they played All I Want Is You last night before Streets but in U2Achtung I read they didn't play All I Want Is You

    What is true ?

Singing is still music without musicial instrumentals backing. Talking and rapping is not singing. (But rapping is still music)
