  1. I (more or less) agree with you, Kieran. I don't think they'll play Zooropa tonight. Bad and maybe Party Girl/Desire are much more probable IMO.

And I also agree about the Zooropa version: it wasn't particullarly brilliant (with Bono being specially mediocre during the first part).

That being said, I hae to reckon that the simple fact they've had the balls to take he dust of a true hidden gem like Zooropa has me still doing

I thought I was going to be shot down for saying that about Zooropa actually. But thanks for agreeing

I wouldn't mind Desire in a live stream, that would be great
  3. I thought they would have held Zooropa and OOC for the third night. The fact they broke them out early suggests either 'standard' set tonight (radio) or maybe they will keep up the good forn and keep playing the new stuff or hopefully add something new again. This is only the second occasion on the tour that they have had a 3 night stint at the same venue (They bottled Dublin 3 by not going for Drowning Man).

Exciting either war but i'll not be around for the broadcast to find out live.

    Third occasion.
  5. All i want is a good quality version of 'stingray guitar' & 'real thing'. Got a good version of 'north star' from cape town broadcast so anything else would be a bonus.
Something new for the encore would be a dream had enough of UV & Batman.
  6. Originally posted by KieranU2:For some reason, I don't think Zooropa will be played tonight. I also didn't think it was as amazing as everyone was saying it to be. Also, it didn't get a great reception by the crowd. This may get the band thinking that's not the right song to play live.

I think it will be pretty hard to predict what they are going to play tonight. It could be a "play-it-safe" set or a real twisted set.
What I mean by this "play-it-safe" set is playing In A Little While, maybe Stingray-NYD... y'know, the set that everyone has moaned about and will moan about extensively if it's done tonight. This is also known as the boring setlist, but why complain? We are getting a live stream for god sake. Looking forward to the endless moaning if it does happen.
The "twisted set" will be just like Sao Paulo II. Could be something completely unexpected like Out of Control?
I don't know, I'm thinking something leaning towards a "play-it-safe" set but maybe just in the middle between both. It's certainly going to be interesting to see the set tonight.

If they "play it safe" it would be the most dissapointing concert ever.

  7. I loved Adam's bass playing on that Zooropa performance

  8. Why? U2 are a commercial band remember. They have been more than experimental this past few legs. Will they do it for radio and the masses is the question.

Yes, but the show is a lot better with Zooropa.

  10. ...and you will be one of the many people moaning about the set. So what? I won't be moaning... why? Because I/and the rest of the world are getting a live stream... for free!

  11. How exactly? Last show - Bono's voice wasn't that good in Zooropa, the crowd sounded dead during it... but it did have good effects. To be honest, I think that was an experiment only. If it's played tonight, I will be quite surprised.
