    eh, no

  2. One of the many great albums from this band.
  3. ^This and Abbey Road are my two favourites.
  4. ^Abbey Road is my favorite, Sgt. Pepper's is number two, then it's a toss up between this Rubber Soul, and the White Album. It's ridiculous how good those five albums are
  5. True. True. "A Day in the Life" is my favourite song and Sgt. Pepper's has some, sorry many, great songs. I find it has a few clunkers, however. In any case, 1967 is my favourite year/era. If you add Strawberry Fields Forever, Penny Lane, Hello Goodbye, I Am The Walrus, and All You Need Is Love to the mix then you have something REALLY special to listen to - and this is what, in my opinion, makes owning The Magical Mystery Tour an essential part of any Beatles collection, no matter how small.

I was hoping they's release something like The Beatles 2 one day in order to make up for all the missed classics on 1.
  6. Well I bought the box set a couple years ago so I'm good to go. I think it's safe to assume the run of Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sgt. Pepper's is the greatest three consecutive album run in history, right?
  7. Well, you're talking Beatles here so I don't to like my personal taste (music from my own generation) warp my sense of reality/objectivity. All I can say is that there is a band that comes to mind that has a FIRST three album run that is very, very, very respectable.
  8. I wonder who that is? I've given my thoughts about Vitology over there, so i wont do it here. The other album runs that come to mind are Radiohead (The Bends, OKC, Kid A), Dylan (Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde on Blonde), The Stones (Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main St.) and of course U2 (War, UF, JT).

I guess we're a little off topic though. Those could be my albums of the month, however.
  9. You've given five great sets of albums (although I have to admit I don't listen to a tonne of Dylan) but I was indeed referring to PJ as their first three are great - and are their best three.
  10. here they come to snuff the rooster ...
