It's funny. I find it to be their least consistent mainstream album punctuated by some of the best songs they've ever done. ("Blood, Sex and Booze", "Church on Sunday", "Castaway", "Misery", "Hold On", "Waiting" and especially "Macy's Day Parade" are all great. "Minority" is better live.) Conversely, I find Nimrod to be a more consistent album but it has less of my all-time favorites. Go figure.
Fun fact: Benmont Tench from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is playing organ on "Church on Sunday". Awesome.

Slowly getting into these guys more and I'm pleased.
