Rodriguez was great - check out the documentary "Searching For Sugarman" about him. Seasick Steve rocked like a bastard. Rufus Wainwright was lovely, as were Vampire Weekend. To be honest, though, I spent much of my time on pills listening to DJs. A HELL of a weekend.

    On pills? LOLOLOL

I meant more stuff by the Bad Seeds by the way
  2. I will check out the names I don't know from that list (Seasick Steve, The Bombay Royale, Tom Odell). I believe you about Vampire Weekend and Rufus, both are great live.
  3. Ah. Push The Sky Away, the latest album is great. I'd also go for Murder Ballads, Henry's Dream, The Lyre of Orpheus/Abattoir Blues and From Her to Eternity. The albums The Bad Seeds did as Grinderman are well worth checking out, as are Cave and Warren Ellis' soundtracks to The Proposition, The Road and Lawless. Cave wrote the screenplays for The Propostion and Lawless, by the way.
  4. ^ thanks!! I think I have more than enough material to fill up this weekend's boring work nights

It'll be time well spent, I reckon. I wasn't expecting a lot from Vampire Weekend and was proved wrong in the nicest possible way.
