1. Haven't had a chance to listen to it--but basically sounds like you mono'ed it out and then ran some eq/compression?
  2. Well, that´s basically what I did! In the end I had two mono-streams (just duplicated the extracted mono channel) and treated each channel differently. Channel one has been slightly(!) compressed, equalized, bit of reverb. Channel two (lower in the mix) has been equalized, more reverb and a stereo-effect has been applied.

    Personally I like a lot of stereo panning, although I do agree about Bono's voice being panned. Of course, I would argue that a wireless recording of U2 is not complete with both the Bono + Edge mixed together...but that's me being fussy.

    Now I know in the past the click has switched sides on some songs, so hopefully that didn't happen here. Also what program did you use? You could have just done it easily in adobe audition using the channel mixer and various plug-ins in the multitrack editor.
