what they said

"It's a goodbye song of some kind. I feel like walking away from being in a band sometimes. For some people it may be like walking away from a a relationship. Sometimes you feel like walking away from life itself." - Bono discussing 'Gone' in 1997

did you know

The title of the song Hawkmoon 269 came from a place U2 passed by during the Conspiracy of Hope tour called Hawkmoon. The number 269 stands for the amount of mixes the song needed before it was ready, it took the band three weeks to record.
