1. Great riff...very controversial lyrics. The n-word will always be a bad one and the f-word (not "fuck") is now almost as taboo.

Was Axl trying to make a social statement with this song or just be a jerk?
  2. i guess he just wanted to tell some specific experiences, using strong expressions (he's always used to be crude, isn't he?); i don't think he wanted to pointed out a general statement in certain matters.

    Radicals and racists
Don't point your finger at me
I'm a small town white boy
Just tryin' to make ends meet
    Don't need your religion
    Don't watch that much TV
    Just makin' my livin', baby,
    Well that's enough for me
  3. That's just it. If you go by those lyrics it's a great (and non-offensive) song. Being a white, heterosexual male, I was never personally upset by the earlier lyrics but it did make it difficult to sing it in public.
  4. dear old Izzy

  5. cool he found the old fat Slash cousin
  6. I thought it WAS Slash at first!
  7. very nice

  8. This should go in the Humour topic but it's too GnR oriented

  9. i post this here as this topic seems to have more visibility hehe
