Nobody's hanging on the edge of their seats anymore. Just a fact, I'm not disappointed by it or anything. I've got a show in a few weeks (@ Chicago) that I'm barely "giddy" about- I know I will be when I get there and it all sinks in, but this tour is almost over 2 years old. That's incredibly long to keep people caring. They've been around the world and back again, played probably over 50 songs in total, and for the last 2 months I doubt we're going to see anything remarkably different. 360 has settled down, and I'm happy. Time for U2 to go away and plan another triumphant return.

I wouldn't say "bored" more just these are 1 night stays at the venues. No 3 nighters anymore soo no real need for setlist changes. They got the perfect setlist pretty much anyway soo Im completely fine with that setlist at my show

  4. Day 12 - The sleep out goes well and I'm up at 5am to take my shift at managing the queue. By 7am we're at 125, 8pm 150, and the queue grows... we stopped numbering GA at # 801 - 3pm. Although not official this number process is used around the world and is accepted by the U2 community as a respected, structure for queue management.
Queueing is formalized around 3pm and at 5:30, instructions are given. As the doors open, nothing but a pure S**T show occurs, tickets won't scan!! All hell breaks lose... I walk through the queue gates, keeping my ticket in hand and make my way down to the floor, losing my U2 hat in the process.. arriving at adams entry into the gate we're told WRONG SIDE.. WTF!! we scream at the lady and then point to the sign on the turn stile and as she looking down, Stephan and I bolt through the gate and make our way to the pit...arriving I see 10+ people all ready there. We quickly grab our positions and take up as much room as possible 6 feet each! within the next 2 minutes our wives arrive and we see that by complete freekiness and without any sense or reason.. GA numbers 1-6, have all made it to the front row and are all dead centre to the stage. FRONT ROW for the third show. As we sit down against the rail, we talk about the events of the past 5-10 min, and my missing hat....

The hat has made it to all the 360 shows and is my one solid piece of concert attire that I collect for each tour.

Out of no where, my hat comes back.... actually a friend 'heather' #12 after making it to her position on the rail on the edge side, hands the hat to #11 who walk it over to me.. after an entire day in the heat, emotions are high as my hat is returned. Somehow she grabbed it as it flew off my head...THIS IS WHAT THE U2 COMMUNITY IS ABOUT!

As the show nears, thousand of red/ white balloons are blown up and as EBTTRT come on, things go crazy...I let my balloon go and off I go... Stephan is right beside me and we're in BONO's face with every lyric. Emotions are extreme as we go straight into IWF and Adam makes his way over!!! WHAT A INCREDIBLE SIGHT!! A quick smile to us and he moves over to the edge side.. For the rest of the night I'm in heaven..For almost every song we have a member right infront of us..and my addreline is in high gear. As dallas hands edge the 'pride' guitar I lose it and start jumping up and down as the entire GA pit waits... 10- seconds later evening is with me.

The crowd (65,000+) is going insane and no one is sitting. The weather turns a little sour, but nothing big. The biggest event is that the screen fails during zooropa and COBL, bono and the boys improvize and for the next 15 min, Willy must go crazy fixing whatever broke.

I could go on forever with every detail, however her are my 3 highlights -

1.) waving to Larry at the back of the stage with an arm motion of putting on a 'scarf', this is in reference to the scarf he was wearing in Winnipeg..a small laugh and smile is given in return.

2.) getting adams attention (after a break in the set) and seeing him add a 'sweater'to his attire I smile at him and zip up my vest... Again a smile and laugh is given in return

3.) and then my BONO moment - during COBL during the lines "Don't look before you laugh, Look ugly in a photograph, Flash bulbs purple irises, The camera can't see". Bono approach toward the edge of the stage and I pretend to have a camera and snap pictures as he approaches... as he finishes the last line, he pretends to snap a picture back a me... I give a big smile and get one in return...

..........will add some more details...but i am travelling 14hours tomorrow to seattle..

  6. The hat history made me smile wider than Adam's or Bono's gestures. My dad also lost his hat on the Barcelona post-queue madness... but no one got it back
  7. Does anyone have a recording of this show?
  8. Cool, hope its soon.
  9. Everyday I load up the page hoping to see this concert to download, its driving me crazy haha.

  10. Sorry.. i 'm waiting as well.... one of the recorders is an excellent recorder and has done dozens of shows, they were about 8th row of on the floor, centre pit... they usually do HD Video as well, however when i talked to them they were only doing audio. Second recorder was otter rail first row, adam side.
