1. He's worth it. Trust me.

One of the most influential people of the 90's music scene and therefore modern rock in general.
  2. Good, I feel like I'm starting to get enough reasons to get that ticket.
  3. Mark Lanegan is playing at Leeds and at a venue just in the city centre of Edinburgh too after Leeds Festival. Might see him actually, more likely in Edinburgh as someone else will be on at the same time undoubtedly.
  4. Mike Mccready from Pearl Jam, 70's UFO cover band Flight to Mars playing tomorrow in LA. Should be a great show.
  5. Mark is definetely one person/artist to meet at least once in a life
saw him in march last time

  6. indeed! some great songs performed by a very good band (actually the guitarist is awesome )

    report it please
  7. Allen Stone. You can see his performance with Daryl Hall at lfdh.com
(Live From Daryl's House). The webcast is now syndicated on USA TV. This guy is around 24, and one of the few artists under 30 I like.
  8. Just realized I forgot to review Mark Lanegan. He was fantastic- didn't really have an amazing "show" as much as the whole performance was just mystifying. Just stood there and sang, which got boring at some points...but man, those classics (Wedding Dress, Methamphetamine Blues, and even opening song Gravedigger's Song) were just powerful and incredible. The best parts of the evening surprisingly came through two newer tunes off of "Blues Funeral"- Harborview Hospital (played in the encore) and Quiver Syndrome (played halfway through the main set). Quiver definitely got the biggest reaction, along with Meth Blues which closed. Overall, a great show.

Oh, also got to meet Mark Lanegan after the show! He was signing autographs in the shop, so I got a setlist signed as well as a Blues Funeral poster. He was a really nice, though quiet, guy.

What I came on here to report though is that PETER GABRIEL- ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ARTISTS EVER- IS PLAYING THE UNITED CENTER ON SEPTEMBER 27TH!!!!

The good ol' UC- where U2 filmed their Vertigo DVD some years ago- is one of my favorite places to see a show.Such a great atmopshere and so many people...and Peter Gabriel will be performing his classic album "So" in its entirety!!!! I am SO excited for this!!!
  9. ^that's great What is Peter Gabriel doing right now? Still on his symphonic phase?
  10. Nope, he's not currently working on any new projects I don't think. Just this tour, playing "So" in its entirety.
  11. Mark comes from another world
  12. Just secured tickets for DMB's show this Saturday night in Connecticut. I'll be in the area visiting a friend so we're going to go to the show. Should be a great, great time.
