    I heard that many years ago it was Aleksasha, but nobody uses it now.
    When somebody calls me 'Shasha', as you wrote, it sounds like a joke my boss likes to do that. In Russia it's a very er...where are my English words when they are needed... 'not rare' name. It's Alexandra for a girl and Alexandr for a boy, but Sasha suits for both. I don't know why there is a lot of variation for the names in my country, you just can't be only Alexandr, anyone can calls you Shurik for example, it's informal.

    By the way, your name 'Sergio', does it have only one form? In my country it would be Sergay - for official documents, and Sereja or Serega - for friends. (smf like that, can't type correctly, there are no such letters in English )
