1. Let me first say that I am a U2 fan for over 25 years. I took my family to the New Jersey concert at the meadowlands. We ended up sitting on the top tier of the stadium not knowing where we were sitting because someone else purchased the tickets. My point is, the acoustics on the level we were on was absolutely atrocious. We couldn't follow what Bono was talking about at all during the concert and there was such a bad echo coming off the reflection of the large screens that weren't even used, I get that, let's focus on the stage. The problem was we could not see the videos screens completely. I know we didn't have the most expensive seats in the house, but, My money is worth something. We couldn't see any of the band members on stage the whole night because of the structure. The visual effects of the stage were incredible and we loved it. I feel Bono didn't spend enough time on the other side of the stage for the fans. It is called U2360 Tour, right? At the end of the concert we went down one level to watch the encore set, Wow, we felt we were at a different concert. The audio and video were incredible. We almost got through one song and we got kicked out of the area by security. I feel my family and I were cheated out of a great, great concert in the seats we were in. I don't blame U2. I blame the sound and audio crews that made, I'm sure many tests to see if all seats could hear and see enjoyably. I just don't want this to happen to anyone in the future. Thanks for listening!
  2. I am so sorry that happened to you. I know how you feel, I had the same thing in Brussels last year. Still was a great concert but you do pay to see and hear the whole thing. We made a complaint to ticketmaster (I assume that that's where you got the tickets) and got half the money back. Maybe that's something you would like to do.
  3. It's not the audio crew's fault; if they make it sound amazing for you, it sounds like shit to the people below. They can make it sound good to a "majority" of the place, and that's what they do- and trust me, they do it very well.

I'm really sorry your experience wasn't that enjoyable, or at least as enjoyable as you hoped it would be, but its an issue for every stadium show I've virtually ever seen or heard reviews of. Stadiums aren't built for acoustics- it's not even a remote consideration when they're constructed. SOMEBODY will always be in a bad spot at a concert- no matter what building, no matter what band. Like I said, I'm sorry it had to be you, but there's nobody to "blame" for it. Cheap seats=cheaper sound. It's not an "on-purpose" thing...just the way the sound travels.

You are right, I don't know what this guy paid for the seats but mine where 150 euros a piece....
  5. 150 euro each? I paid 20 less than that hand had the best non GA tickets in the house
