1. Are they the greatest or what??????
  2. we do have a football/soccer topic already

  3. Yeah i know but this one is exclusive to the reds,im sure there are many reds on here who know what i mean.
What do other reds think we'll do this season? Can we topple Barca?
  4. I'm sorry, but if this is allowed then i'm going to have a dedicated Peterborough united thread to cater for all the thousands of Posh fans on the forum. Clearly i'm edging my bets towards a lock.
  5. Barca kicked your ass so no, not the greatest, The Premiership is the greatest though...

  6. Best Team in the World is Barca, sorry!
  7. Oh man, a topic dedicated to one team? Shambles, utter shambles. For the record, I am firmly of the opinion that the current United are far from the best there's been, for me it's a shout between the side of 2008 and the classic lineup of the treble winning season. The fact that they won the league last year proves that the Premiership is getting closer. A far more competitive league that in recent seasons (and a good thing too for little old us - Norwich that is - making it back to the big time, gives us a much better chance of doing something special this year), but the best? Far from it. Still maintain that the Bundesliga is the best professional football league in the world with regard to competitiveness of the teams both on the domestic and in European competition, as well as overall support and entertainment value.

are the top in germany better than the top in 10 in england???

  9. I'd say there's definitely a case to make for it. Remember, Bayern did Man Utd in the Champs League the year they lost in the final to Jose's Inter, and I think Dortmund *should* be a match for anyone in Europe this year. Do they play the best football in the world? No, but they are lightning fast and efficient - they play the way Arsenal should play, but don't. Don't underestimate any of the German top 10 sides - I mean, Schalke managed to reach the CL semis last year and aren't amazing, but that was partially down to Inter being rubbish lol. To be honest, last season was a fairly shocking one (in my opinion) up amongst the supposed highest echelons of European football. I think it would take a brave man to bet against any of the top half of the Bundesliga against most other teams in Europe. Just thinking about the German sides in Europe this year, I'd say that, Dortmund are quality, and can compete with the best; Leverkusen should be one to watch this year, but you have to have concerns if they don't successfully replace Vidal; Bayern will always be a threat to anyone; I'd be willing to say that Mainz and Hannover will be a threat to whoever they face in the Europa League, and quite frankly I'd certainly put them on a par with the likes of Fulham, Stoke and Birmingham (thinking in terms of English Europa League qualifiers this season). German football has placed a much greater emphasis on better coaching and academy graduation over spending the millions of pounds/euros that get spunked about in England, and they're benefitting from it. Dortmund were one of the best domestic sides in Europe last season, and
they spent nowhere near the same as the likes of the other champions (Barca, Man Utd, Milan to think of but a few), and I really hope they do themselves justice this year in the CL.

(yeah I quite like German football, if it hadn't been made clear by now =P)
  10. (double post, bollocks)
  11. we've already got the football/soccer topic, i think that is enough(considering the conversation of this topic has already moved on from ManUre). Theres people from all corners of the globe on this site, who all support different teams, if everyone was to make topic for their team we'd have hundreds of topics that only a certain few people would care about.

.... or u could keep it open so i have somewhere to come when i feel like abusing people
