maybe you can give me a little help on this: how exactly do you pronounce the name "Aoife" ? I read it on my Irish newspaper so often but never know how I'd have to say it

It's not so wonderful in school

Ee-fa Some mad Irish names out there. My name in Irish would be Seosamh, pronounced Show-suff
  3. Yes. Isn't it?

It's annoying how it change every word. I was writing Ringo earlier and it changed to Dingo. WTF. And I fear the day my shaver batteries die for some bizarre reason. And that looks like a pimp.

lol that's cool these two names would be "Eva" and "Josef" in German then. all our languages are so similar to each other.... in a way only thing about Irish is that it's written entirely different from the way it's pronounced... all I say is Dun Laoghaire
  8. So how would you translate an English name to Irish?
