You can, but we need a better idea than what we've got. Just trying to create something even similar to Slug, sort of, is just way too hard. A basic rock song perhaps or something a bit more straightforward.
Not that not creating an Original Soundtracks-like tune is impossible but it's more difficult than I thought.
I think we could build on our current idea, just take it in a little different direction.
Yesterday I had an idea that you could record some harmonica through the guitar amps in Garageband. Could be cool I think. What key is your harmonica in?
Absolutely it could. I've thought of something more closer to United Colours from Passengers would be far cooler and you can still do your deep voice. Uses not a lot of drums, mainly more effects and it would work a lot better (and is way easier).
Use a clave effect over a sort of ambient background, have some harmonica, some real weird guitar effects and then bass behind it (muted bass). Would take not too long actually.
I've not heard much of the Beatles (more a Stones man myself) but that's pretty cool. Always liked how they were a bit ahead of their time with progressive things and new ways of audio and recording.
So I'll start on a track and then send you the GB file for it. How long do you think we should aim at making the song run for minimum?
