Definitely. That's when they were at the top. Abidal, Juninho, Malouda, Essien... Incredible to think they all played together here. We're not as good now, but we might enter a new era. Our former coach, Claude Puel, definitely killed our way of playing. Plus new players came for 15 million euros, whereas they should have come for far less than that. It's been complicated for three years now, even if we've been on 1/2 finals of the Champions League in 2010.
I don't have one of Juni Olof, a shame. I had Govou (from 2001-2002 I think) and one from Wiltord (after we first beat Real Madrid, in 2005).
Yes, or really use the millions they got by selling them well. I mean, 38 million from Essien, 15 from Abidal, 20 from Malouda, 35 from Diarra... And with those millions, only average players came, but with the same amounts of money, so...
However, I'm looking forward this season. We almost have the same team that last year, but a new coach coming from Lyon, so...
Bart, you should look at the one vs Bremen. His best I think.
That's the same category of teams, Lyon and Ajax, I think. They had the best players, but they were not the best teams in Europe and had to let them go.
I think he came back to his first team, in Brazil, this year. But he played in Qatar for the last two years if I'm right. Too bad he left, he was getting older, but as you said his kick was awesome and he was an important leader.
