I wish Sinatra was still around, but I guess he had to take his place up there with the other legends of the day. Speaking of past legends, Robert Palmer is one I've been getting into lately. Pretty much every style - pop, rock, jazz, funk, world, Urdu (!) and other styles he did so well.
Ah yes and Roy Orbison too is another one - think I told you the other day about him. His music (and his writing) is just unbelievably beautiful. I remember at that tribute show, he said (Damien Leith) about Roy - was that 'If Roy walked in here today, I would simply say thank you'. Quite moving that.
