1. I know this has been discussed before, but:

What is your best tour and worst tour? Not the one where you necessarily saw the most shows, but the one which, when you revisit it via bootleg or other such memory, makes you glad you went or makes you cringe, wondering what the band was thinking?

Best: Been listening to a lot of the 360 Tour lately. But Joshua Tree is still my favorite.

Worst: PopMart. A bloated band, trying way too hard to be "unpredictable."
  2. Based exclusively on that criteria (revisiting via bootleg), I have to say that Joshua Tree and Lovetown are the absolute winners. They were on top form back then. And the worst, Popmart. Only a few bootlegs from that tour are decent.
But if we add other factors like personal feelings, stage innovation, songs performed, etc etc, Zoo TV takes the award, and The Unforgettable Fire Tour takes the last position.
  3. I don't agree at all about JT tour being the best. Bono's voice was way too screamy and kinda hoarse on that tour. I love Popmart.

    But I'd say:

    Best: ZooTV
    Worst: Joshua Tree

Personal favorite is probably Popmart though
  4. Best: ZooTv
    Worst: PopMart.
  5. From what I've seen:

Best: Zoo TV (but 360 was pretty solid)
Worst: Vertigo (many of the classic U2 tracks were quite weak this tour)

I never saw a JT show but am sure one would have been great to attend. However, rarely listen to any pre-1992 concerts. For whatever reason, I need some AB tunes in the shows I listen to.
  6. I've only been to one concert ever which was 360 but for sound I'd say
    Best: ZooTV/LoveTown - Bono's voice was at it's best
Worst: Although I love HTDAAB, I think the sound was bad and there wasn't much energy in songs other than Pride and The Electric Co
  7. Rank order IMO (Though I feel that the even the worst tour on this list was awesome as there is no such thing as a bad U2 tour)

    1. ZOO TV
    2. Joshua Tree Tour
    3. Lovetown Tour
    4. U2360
    5. TUF
    6. Popmart
    7. War
    8. Elevation
    9. Vertigo
    10. October
    11. Boy

  8. Only the Best (for myself JT!!!

Popmart setlists are my favorite of any tour, but yeah, I think the performances and the way the whole concept was brought off wasn't really successful.

It's still ZooTV and Lovetown for me that always win out. Everything else rotates under that. 360 is steadily coming in at a close third though.

  11. Elevation was great. I never saw a show from that tour but I have a feeling if I did it would be right up there with ZooTV. The performances of their earlier stuff ('80's) were fantasitc. Way better than what they did on Vertigo - at least in 2005. I do enjoy listening to the '06 Argentina show, however.

Earlier (today) I ranked ZooTV ahead of 360 but I have to admit I enjoyed myself more at the 360 shows - I had really bad seats for ZooTV (I'm sure that I've said this before).
