  1. First of all, I'm glad that the band has a cool attitude about bootlegs - "as long as it's not for profit". Most bands of their stature (are there any left?) would just not have them entirely. If I'm wrong about that, please correct me. I've always wondered about this, so hopefully you can help. What is a 'soundboard' exactly, and how does whoever gets these shows manages to hook his or her equipment up to said soundboard with or without the musicians' permission?

    These are "live" concerts recorded with professional equipment. During a concert the signal from the instruments usually channels through the central mixing station, or soundboard, before going to the PA system. A soundboard recording is a recording that takes place at the soundboard. These recordings are high quality.

  4. soundboard is good, but i wonder for who they are recorded, what they do with it, if all shows are recorded on SB, and who steal a copy and upload in the universe

    I think U2 holds a copy of all shows in soundboard, but the other questions I do not know
