1. Now that there is 3d televisons in the shops what is the chance of the u2 film u23d geting released on dvd or broadcast on tv
  2. technology is still far from being perfect so i wouldn't bet on a release in the (near) future.
but it will be released at some point if the manager is paul mcg
that being said, i just watched it again last sunday in a 3d-cinema as part of a museums-festival :-D
  3. I think they've said in interviews that they'll release it when technology is good enough so that everyone will be able to watch it.

3D's still not that good, and still not common.
  4. you have to buy a 3d tv, a 3d blu ray, a 3d glass, and 3d disc. the technologi is far from beig popular.

  5. 3D tvs are becoming pretty common and there are ones now that you don't need glasses for. You don't need a special blu-ray player to play 3D discs either. I think we'll be seeing U23D out in the shops before long.
  6. My new TV (a gift from my dad's bank ) has 3D feature and you don't need glasses. Don't expect a 3Dcinema-like experience either, though........
  7. we have a 3d tv for about half a year now. you need glasses for it, which isn't too bad. in the beginning it was a true thrill.... but by now, I hardly use this feature anymore. too little films and shows in 3d available
doesn't mean though I'm not eagerly waiting for u23d to be released... because then... you won't see me leave the tv room ever again
  8. wait, there are tv who dont need glasses? wow! i guess it was a nintendo 3ds feature and small monitors, like cell phones. u23d have 90 min only... it will not make much difference in your life

Yeah, same here. I kinda hate 3D a lot and actively avoid it at the cinema. I wear glasses and can't see the screen properly unless I wear the 3D glasses over my own. I'd buy U23D, because duh...but I'd probably not watch it all that often.
  10. I own seven U2 DVD's and I very rarely watch any of them - just listen to DVD rips. I am hopng the audio from U23D gets released in the near future - maybe by U2.com. However, if it comes to theatres in my area again, I'll be sure to make a point of seeing it as I missed it the first time around.

  11. I'll make sure to make a point of RECORDING it, I find it astonishing that only an average-quality rip exists of this.
  12. I have yet to see this. Was here for like a week but I missed it. I also do own a 3DTV. Works well, need the glasses for it though which isn't that much of a hassle, only problem is they're expensive. I really hope they decide to release it so I can watch at home!!
