1. Hong Kong is eminently photogenic, but the bad weather really messed with the light a lot of the time. Except in a couple of shots where it got all dramatic and stormy.

  2. Am I allowed to post pictures as well? I think this turned out pretty cool. Not easy to take good photos at night without a tri-pod though, so it's a bit muddy.

Thanks, Olof. It was a lot of fun and really cool. It's much more sedate than a city like Saigon and less nailed down than Singapore. Great food, cheap booze, lovely people (most of whom speak really good English, which makes it very easy for us Anglophones).

That's very cool. What ship is that?
  5. Thanks! That boat is actually a hostel in Stockholm. The boat's name is Chapman I think.

Here are a few more pics, that are pretty bad as photos (very dark room), but features another nice little boat, that's nearly 400 years old and has an incredible story:

My dad's been to Hongkong once, he also came home with a lot of nice pics. I specifically remember a huge Buddha statue.

That's out on Lantau Island, where I'd planned to go on my last day but the typhoon shut down all the ferries and buses so it'll have to wait til next time.

Thanks I was pretty pleased with how that one turned out. I've only had that camera a few months and I still struggle getting the settings right sometimes.

Oh cool, what camera have you got?

Cool. I've never been to a really big city.
  10. I am at my first day of work at my new job. I really like it. The people here are very nice. Not sure how often I'll be posting now though.

  11. Good luck with the job, Lester!

Great! That's truly great, I hope that I also get a job that I really like in the future. It's such a big part of life. Good luck! And I'm sure you'll have some time left for us
