    I hope it's a good one! There can be quite a difference.

    You may need a RIAA amplifier as well.

  5. It amplifies the phono signal from the vinyl player. If you don't have a phono jack on your stereo, you'll need one, the normal phono signal is too weak for today's normal jacks.

    It may also be called stuff like phono amplifier, phono pre-amp.

    It's quite lovely, thank you! Some buzzing frets though, maybe I'll ask the music store to set it up. I tried to do it myself, but wasn't entirely successful, but at least it did get better.
