Well, I don't have much of an opinion apart from what I've heard.

    No, I haven't.

Before Russell Watson became famous, when he sang in the working men's clubs in Manchester's suburbs, his bill said "Russell Watson - Everything from Meat Loaf to Pavarotti", so I'm sure he could've handled anything. And the band could've just been different, and that doesn't mean shit. Maybe they'd have ended up even more amazing instead.

Considering Slash was in a band called Guns N' Roses before Velvet Revolver, and two of the other members in the band were also in Guns N' Roses (Matt Sorum & Duff McKagan), they wouldn't been like they should have been. They are a hard rock band, and that's what they were meant to be. Just because Russell Watson sang Meat Loaf, that doesn't mean that he was capable of singing hard rock. You can sing hard rock songs in an opera voice if you want to, that's probably what he done.

They went for Scott Weiland in the end, and that was probably a great choice - but he became a drug addict in the end... They have auditioned for over 1,000 singers over the years of their existence, so I wouldn't be surprised if Slash got desperate.

You really need to listen to more Russell Watson.

Yes, Frank Sinatra - I like him. He's better than Russell Watson.

There's a Russell Watson album in my house, and I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot barge pole. I think he's a little over-rated (especially by you, I'm sorry).
  6. take a look

  7. Oh YEAH! Imagine Russell Watson singing this...

  8. No, Kieran. Russell Watson didn't sing it in an opera voice. He just has an incredible knack for doing different voices.

Oh great, so I'd love to hear him sing while 2 heavily distorted guitars are playing, and stand next to a guy on stage with a tophat and frizzy hair with his top off during the show, and the other guys similar to the look too. He would look severely out of place.

First, what a weak voice. Second, I can totally imagine Russell singing it, and doing it damn well. I'm obviously the one who's the most into Russell, so I think I know his voice better.

He shows some of the needed qualities in the Star Trek Enterprise intro. (Note "some")

Let's change topic, we won't get any further with this discussion.

    Let's agree to disagree.
