Since they take up close to zero space and give you the option to change things and get the song in any format I'd say always save them.

I did but I didn't like Soundcloud because some people couldn't stream the songs for some weird reason. PureVolume is the best site now.

Anyone any good at artwork?

@Fabian - yeah I liked the titles of those two. Time is a fascinating experiment that went nowhere.
