  2. You apply for jobs, they don't get back to you. That's basically the story of my life at the moment - very fucking irritating if you ask me.

    What kind of jobs do you apply for?


  4. Coffee shop, sports shop, supermarket, clothes shop. None of them got back to me. Looks like I'll be signing on soon, and looking for more places needing staff...

    Yeah, in a way I am. I can either find a place to work myself, or I can apply at a website where some places offer work experience places.

    I applied at the website this time.

    I have never had a job, but this will be my fourth work experience. Last time. Last time I was at a music store for two weeks.

    Shouldn't be really hard to get a job like that. Dutch supermarkets are always looking for employers. Good luck

    Trust me, it is really hard. My friend applied for 20 jobs: 18 of them never got back to him, 1 gave him a interview (he never got the job), and the other gave him the job. They don't even have the decency to reply and say "sorry, we've declined your application".

  9. Word of mouth can happen, but it's hard when your friends are working at places that currently don't need anyone.

    There's place that I'm currently keeping my eye on, called Marks & Spencer's (a popular shop here in the UK), and on their website, you can apply for certain shifts, but they are not to my liking because I have to fit it around school.
