Can you tell us anything about like when they came home from the Limerick talent contest that they won? How was the reception at school. Were U2 big at school?

The Limerick song contest wasn't a great homecoming cos they didn't tell many that they entered it. The prize was a single release of 1000 12" copies of Out of Control/ Stories for Boys/ Boy Girl. Bill Graham a journalist with Hot Press numbered each copy by hand. I still have a copy! No they weren't big in school, the Virgin Prunes were the real Rock stars in school.

How big were bands at the school? Just a few who cared or did everyone care?
