  3. I have to admit I find covers a real challenge to get into in general. I’m not coming on here to slag the album off there is some good versions of songs, I thought the same with the new roots cd which covered JT. But after maybe 2 or 3 listens at most I get to a point where I think would I rather put on the real JT or AB or would i rather listen to covers and the answers always the same give me the real deal. Does anyone on here actually prefer a cover of a u2 song more than the original?

    But yeah I know what you mean. It's just like U2 covering other artists - it's usually a "nice to have" souvenir, but rarely -if ever- they improve the original songs .

Probably it's different with songs U2 covered live, which I usually love and listen to (I prefer U2's Helter Skelter than the Beatles' original for example, while U2's version of Help I really don't like). The only U2 song I listen covered by others is Keane's version of With Or Without You. That is AMAZING

  7. I think to prefer the depeche mode version I would need to be a bigger fan of Dave Gahan’s voice to Bono’s and that’s not the case. Especially 90’s Bono. It’s another decent cover but it’s not u2.
