1. Still yet need to have a listen and from what I have read seems gud!
  2. It appears that the discs will end up sounding like one complete show - no fade in/outs on each track.

I see your point, Sergio, but the "first 22" are enshrined on the CD's where as any others will have to survive on their own in electronic form.
  4. Now that I've woken up and am not browsing the forums at 4am, I'll give these a listen
  5. Can't make my mind up about the lyric changes in Ultra Violet...part of it I don't like, part of it I actually love.

EDIT: Also very privileged to have another high quality recording from the Wembley gig I attended.
  6. Matt is going to be pumped that Stay is from Chicago!
  7. Stay really is beautiful. One of the highlights for me.

Magnificent, Elevation and With Or Without You are kind of forgettable. Would have much preferred an Electrical Storm in place of Elevation or something, but we've discussed that to the point of boredom. We can't change it now. I quite like the vocal only intro to Elevation, haven't heard a lot of U2360 shows, so don't know how common this is. As far as ISHFWILF goes, I don't think it's as bad on the whole as we initially thought, or I initially thought when I heard the clip in the video. The Unforgettable Fire is just sublime, as most versions were. I don't think Ultra Violet is the strongest 360 performance but I'm still very happy to have it. As I said before though, about the lyric changes, half I don't like, half I love.

"And your love is like like some hard cash, that gets passed around" - Bad.

"I guess it's the the price of love, and the price of love, isn't love if it's cheap" - Love.

EDIT: With regards to Ultra Violet, I consider Sheffield to be stronger, has slightly more 'painful', raw vocals, particularly in the "there is a silence that comes to a house..." and "I remember, when we could sleep on stones..." sections. But we have the FM broadcast of that, so I guess U2 wouldn't even touch them. Which is credit on their part I think.
  8. My God, Still Haven't Found is FANTASTIC, there is an "electricity in the air" / extra excitement about it because of the audience and the extra guy! I like it a lot more than I would have thought. The rest is good, the sound quality as opposed to the performance for some is what makes it amazing imo! not that it really detracts from the awesome versions they are. UV sounds weird, maybe because I'm used to other versions.

confession i thought he said: "and your love is like A PODCAST that gets passed around" LOLLLLLLLLLLLL I WAS LIKE WHAT???
  9. Is there a site where I could listen to the songs? That isnt illegal right
A download link wouldnt be that bad either

Im curious how they sound, the previews we had (OTH, AIWIY etc) sounded great.

I just went for a walk so I could listen through my earphones and I have to admit, I had to take a second listen to the "hard cash" line.

Bart - No. But I can tell you, they sound equally as great as the 'previews' you mentioned.

  12. So U22 is officially in the mail and should be sent to your houses in a couple of days. Unfortunately for me, it's going to be sent to my actual home and not my college residence, so I guess I'll be waiting for a couple more weeks until I get to hear it. It'll be a nice gift to motivate me to do well on my exams.
